This family health and wellness event is more than just a walk/run—it is an opportunity for Greater Snohomish County communities to come together in support of heart health, cardiovascular improvement for women and girls, family fitness, and community engagement. In Snohomish County and surrounding communities, many individuals and families continue to face not only gaps in cardiovascular health awareness and access to wellness resources, but also increasing social isolation, demographic barriers, and competition for limited resources. These challenges can create invisible barriers that separate neighbors, limit collaboration, and reduce opportunities for meaningful community connection. At BRE, we believe wellness flourishes when people come together across differences.
This year's Freedom Run Women's Health & Wellness 5K is centered on building bridges, crossing invisible barriers, and creating welcoming spaces where people can connect through shared values of health, respect, and community. Last year, BRE volunteers helped positively impact more women, students, and families through wellness-centered activities and outreach. Together, with the support of our sponsors and Heart Heroes, we are bringing hearts to life again ❤️ by expanding access to wellness resources, strengthening community connections, and creating opportunities for all families to thrive.
In today’s climate, community-centered wellness and empowerment activities for women, students, families, and local caregivers can offer community uplift and rippling health and wellness effects that will last well into 2027.
